Adult Cricketer Membership

Our playing members are held to the moral, social and ethical guidelines of the club, adhering to the Code of Conduct and good sportsmanship throughout the season; acting in the spirit of cricket, to be competitive, but also to be friendly to the opposition and umpires.  We are all ambassadors of the Club.

Adult Players Information: 

 

• There are three types of Adult Cricketer Membership* that we offer:

Option 1 : Full Playing Membership fee is £300 and includes match fees for the season.

​

Option 2 : A starting membership fee of £80 and £20 per game for the first 12 games played.  A membership form will need to be completed on each occasion.

Option 3 : ‘Pay to Play’ Day Membership (for cricketers that do not play regularly) is £30 per game.  A membership form will need to be completed on each occasion, but does not result in voting membership.

* Membership fees are to be paid before a player’s first game for the club, which is part of our Insurance Policy requirements.

 

Please note: If you are Unemployed or a Student but wish to play cricket, please speak with a member of our Committee separately regarding membership.
 

• Subscription fees can be paid by either: bank transfer (please email us at info@marlowparkcricketclub.co.uk for a membership form and our bank details, remembering to put your name as a reference); or before a game through the Captain or Vice-Captain (paid at the club, card only).

 

• All Adult Playing Members are asked to download the Spond App and join the ‘MPCC Senior Players’ group on the app.  This app is used to get player availabilities for matches, inform regarding team selections and timing information regarding meet-up, match play and net practice.

• All players are expected to meet at the club at the designated time, so that they can help set-up the club and ground in readiness for the match.

​

• Players are expected to bring their own cricket whites and equipment to a game.

​

• Players must wear whites and the appropriate footwear.

​

• After a Home game players are expected to help the Captain, who will designate chores, to tidy the club and ground. It is not a lot to ask our players to be helpful and maintain the club.

• Full Playing members are entitled and encouraged to vote at the AGM (Social members are not permitted to vote).

Social Membership

Our Social Membership is an integral part of what makes our Club special. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, family-oriented, and social cricket club in the heart of Marlow. The atmosphere on game days is one of fun and the setting is stunning. We welcome everyone who wish to be a part of our community.  We appreciate Social members who wish to participate in the running of the Club, because we can only be successful with the help of others.

Social Information: 

 

• Social Membership fee is £10 per person for the season.

​

• Membership includes access to the Club's amenities and bar, with guest privileges included (leading to Social Membership for repeat visitors).

 

• Bar facilities are well stocked and open on Friday nights (6:30pm till 10pm), Saturdays and Sundays (timings vary) during the season.
