Adult Cricketer Membership

Our playing members are held to the moral, social and ethical guidelines of the club, adhering to the Code of Conduct and good sportsmanship throughout the season; acting in the spirit of cricket, to be competitive, but also to be friendly to the opposition and umpires.  We are all ambassadors of the Club.

Adult Players Information: 

 

• There are two types of Adult Cricketer Membership* that we offer:
  
  Option 1 : Full Playing Membership fee is £200 and includes match fees for the season.
  
  Option 2 : ‘Pay to Play’ Day Membership (for cricketers that do not play regularly) is £20 per game and a membership form will need to be completed on each occasion. If an Adult Playing Member plays beyond 10 games in a season then they will not be charged match fees beyond 10 games.
  
  * Membership fees are to be paid before a player’s first game for the club, which is part of our Insurance Policy requirements.
  
  Please note: If you are Unemployed or a Student but wish to play cricket, please speak with a member of our Committee separately regarding membership.
   

• Subscription fees can be paid by either: bank transfer (please email us at info@marlowparkcricketclub.co.uk for a membership form and our bank details, remembering to put your name as a reference); or before a game through the Captain or Vice-Captain (paid at the club, card only).

 

• All Adult Playing Members are asked to download the Spond App and join the ‘MPCC Senior Players’ group on the app.  This app is used to get player availabilities for matches, inform regarding team selections and timing information regarding meet-up, match play and net practice.

• All players are expected to meet at the club at the designated time, so that they can help set-up the club and ground in readiness for the match.

​

• Players are expected to bring their own cricket whites and equipment to a game.

​

• Players must wear whites and the appropriate footwear.

​

• After a Home game players are expected to help the Captain, who will designate chores, to tidy the club and ground. It is not a lot to ask our players to be helpful and maintain the club.

​

• Full Playing members are entitled and encouraged to vote at the AGM (Social members are not permitted to vote).

Junior Cricketer Membership

Junior Training – From 5th May to 23rd June 2023

Join us for a great social atmosphere for all the family to enjoy! Our Junior training sessions run Friday evenings at the ground (weather permitting), for mixed ability, gender and age. Throughout the season there will also be social events happening.

 

Junior Training Information:

​

• ​Fun, friendly and inclusive group sessions focusing on enjoyment, involvement and development.

 

• Coaching is run via our coaching partner, The Performance Sports Group.

​​

• £100 for annual Junior Cricketer Membership, £80 for each additional sibling annual Junior Cricketer Membership.

​​

• Junior Cricketer Membership includes a Marlow Park training shirt and 2 x Social Membership for parents.

​

• Competitive games on Saturday mornings (all in Higginson Park, Marlow).

​

• Weekly awards and an end of season cricket event.

​

• Registration starts at 5:45pm every Friday from 16th April.

​

• Training is from 6pm to 7:30pm (weather permitting).

​

• Parents or guardians of Junior members are asked to download the Spond App and join the ‘Marlow Park Junior Cricket’ group on the app as this is used for training attendance and notifications.

All Stars Cricket – From 5th May 2023

We are happy to offer all junior’s aged 5 to 8 years old to join our All Stars in conjunction with the ECB program.

​

• Fun, friendly and inclusive group sessions for younger years.

 

• Coaching is run via our coaching partner, The Performance Sports Group.

 

• Our All Stars program starts on Friday 7th May.

​

• £50 per child for up to 8 weeks of coaching.

​​

• Training is from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. ​

Social Membership

Our Social Membership is an integral part of what makes our Club special. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, family-oriented, and social cricket club in the heart of Marlow. The atmosphere on game days is one of fun and the setting is stunning. We welcome everyone who wish to be a part of our community.  We appreciate Social members who wish to participate in the running of the Club, because we can only be successful with the help of others.

Social Information: 

 

• Social Membership fee is £10 per person for the season.

​

• Membership includes access to the Club's amenities and bar, with guest privileges included (leading to Social Membership for repeat visitors).

 

• Bar facilities are well stocked and open on Friday nights (6:30pm till 10pm), Saturdays and Sundays (timings vary) during the season.
